1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Built Different Media Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you use our websites and contact us. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 14507760. Our registered office is Flat 3, 5 Bath Street, Brighton, BN1 3TB, United Kingdom.

2. What personal data we collect

When you submit an enquiry form on this website, we collect the information you choose to provide. That typically includes:

• Your name (first name and last name, or full name)
• Email address
• Telephone number (if you provide one)
• Your message and any project details you include
• On some forms, optional role or organisation information if you enter it

We do not ask for special category data on these forms. Please do not include sensitive information in free-text messages unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

We also process limited technical data that your browser sends when you visit the site (for example IP address and device/browser information in server or hosting logs). That information is used to operate and secure the website.

3. How we use your data and legal bases

We use enquiry form data to:

• Respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work
• Keep a record of communications related to your request
• Manage our client pipeline and business administration

Legal bases under UK GDPR: (a) steps prior to entering a contract, or performance of a contract, where you ask us to quote or deliver work; and (b) our legitimate interests in running and responding to business enquiries, balanced against your rights.

4. Where your data is stored

Personal data from forms you submit is stored in our business database so we can manage and reply to enquiries. Access is limited to people who need it to handle your request.

Our website is hosted in connection with our web hosting environment for builtdifferent.media / demo1.builtdifferent.media. Hosting providers may process technical logs as processors on our instructions.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records and follow-up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner (see section 7). If we do not need it any longer, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• Service providers who host our website or systems, only as needed to provide those services
• Professional advisers (for example accountants or lawyers) if required
• Authorities if the law requires us to disclose information

If you allow embedded media cookies, third parties such as YouTube may receive data when a video loads — that is controlled by their own policies once the player is loaded.

7. Your rights (including deletion)

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Erase your data (including removing enquiry records from our database on request)
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive a copy of data you provided (data portability), where applicable
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example optional cookies)

You can request deletion of your name, email, phone number and related enquiry details from our database at any time. Email hello@builtdifferent.media with the subject “Data deletion request” and enough detail for us to find your record (for example the email address you used on the form). We will respond without undue delay and within one month, as required by law (extendable in complex cases with notice to you).

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

8. International transfers

If any tool we use stores data outside the UK/EEA, we will ensure an appropriate transfer mechanism is in place (such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses) where required. Embedded media providers (for example Google/YouTube) may process data in other countries under their terms when you consent to load their player.

9. Children

Our site and enquiry forms are aimed at businesses and adult clients. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through these forms.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means the new policy applies to later visits and new enquiries.
