[ The Brief ]

The objective was to create a visually poetic film that leans heavily into a nostalgic, timeless aesthetic. Rather than a polished, modern digital look, the brief called for a piece that actively embraces a grainy texture and a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere of a vintage DV camera. To echo a bygone era, the cinematography needed to feel deliberate, utilising long, gliding gimbal shots and sweeping cinematic angles to draw the viewer into an evocative visual world.
